Our Canberra HQ in the parliamentary triangle allows key decision makers to trial emerging technologies in a sales pitch free environment.


With more than 15 years’ experience in government relations, media, entrepreneurism and philanthropy, Tara is recognised nationally for her work across a range of industries.

Tara has counselled clients from a range of sectors including technology, energy, agriculture, defence and health on digital transformation, change and reputation management, corporate communications, and corporate social responsibility.

Tara is also a founding board member of international maternal health charity Send Hope Not Flowers, and professional development not-for-profit Women in Media.

Tara began her career as a print and television journalist for News Corp, Sky News and Channel Ten. It was during her international reporting career that Tara helped establish the East Timor Free Press Foundation following the independence referendum in 2000, receiving an Australian Government Award in recognition for her volunteer work there.


Christian has worked at the highest levels of government and industry for more than two decades.

He has a wealth of Government experience derived from roles heading several Departmental communication units. Christian has also established himself as a trusted advisor to the Federal Government having worked as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Minister for Defence and a senior advisor to the Minister for Home Affairs.

Working with clients from a range of industries as diverse as defence, mining, technology, agriculture, infrastructure, health, media and sports, Christian is a recognised leader in strategy and engagement.

Christian is also the Founder and Managing Partner of CMAX Advisory.


Annie has 20 years’ experience working in strategy, media and public relations across the private, public and community sectors.

Annie is renowned for her creative and strategic approach and has provided advice and support to some of our most important national campaigns for Government and the Australian Community. This has included health and human services campaigns and more recently the Campaign for Indigenous Recognition, Campaign for Marriage Equality, and GenerationOne.

She regularly provides strategic advice to Australia’s leading CEO’s and senior public servants and politicians. Annie was appointed the first eCommunications Adviser to an Australian Prime Minister and is also the Founder and Director of 89 Degrees East.

89 Degrees East lead the creative development of the Nadia project for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) - an intelligent virtual assistant co-designed with people with disability. 

Digital Workforce is currently providing advice to a number of Federal and State Government Agencies on their digital transformation.


Kate has over seven years’ experience delivering digital programs in the private and public sector. She also has experience developing and delivering digital government and leadership programs for senior public sector executives. She is currently a Partner at AlphaBeta Advisors, an economics and strategy firm specialising in public sector data analytics.

Prior to joining AlphaBeta, she worked for McKinsey & Company in their digital and public sector practices, including leading multiple digital public sector and leadership projects, and developing a digital government masterclass for senior leaders in the NZ public service.  She also worked on major change and implementation programs.

Before McKinsey, Kate worked for NICTA (now Data61) putting together innovative industry / government data analytics and optimisation projects. Kate has worked for Network Ten, including on their digital transition, for the Federal Government and for the Australian Industry Goup.


Piers is an architect and digital strategist with 22 years’ experience, and has played a number of key leading roles in reforming access to government services and information across the social welfare and business sectors.

Piers began his career as a developer and infrastructure engineer, and worked in federal government in Canberra in the Senior Executive Service and as a consultant in architecture, design, integration and infrastructure for over 20 years, on programs including the Business Entry Point (Industry), Access Card and Service Delivery Reform, the Gershon Review Implementation (Human Services), Payment Delivery Reform (Human Services and Reserve Bank), Infrastructure Modernisation (Industry), the Single Business Service (Industry), and the National Disability Insurance Scheme, before leaving to join Digital Workforce Australia.


Most recently, Piers was one of the lead creators of Nadia, an intelligent virtual assistant co-designed with the disability community. At Digital Workforce Australia, Piers is continuing his work on combining the advances in machine learning, natural language recognition, conversational interaction, embodied interfaces, emotion recognition and machine vision, with co-design and research to help people discover, understand and use information and services.


Fleur Anderson is an experienced communications professional with almost 20 years’ experience in business, economics and political media. 

At Digital Workforce Fleur delivers high-level communications and strategic advice and manages major projects for large national clients.

As a journalist with the Australian Financial Review (AFR) for 15 years, Fleur has produced online content and activation for the AFR and Fairfax.


Chris Black is our Director of Projects who has more than 25 years’ experience in social policy design and evaluation.  In recent years Chris has worked extensively on information architecture projects, including website design and development for service providers associated the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).  

Chris has led the design and delivery of three digital projects for the NDIS, including new toolkits for participants, providers and staff within the NDIS. 

With degrees in Architecture and Social Policy, aligned with senior experience within the Australian and Victorian Public Service and as a Ministerial Adviser, Chris brings a strong understanding of government processes to her work in designing digital solutions for clients for Digital Workforce.

Carla is our Head of Art and Digital Design.  Carla’s design experience spans from government and corporate clients to fashion and publishing.

Carla’s design skills are incredibly diverse in application, from being the driving force behind leading national public awareness campaigns, to illustrating children’s books. Across all projects, she combines smart design flair with great advertising and marketing principles to produce outstanding, on target graphics for our clients.
